Back Your BackMost of our day to day activities are only possible by making use of our back. Whenever you move yourself up and down, you sit and stand you are exerting tremendous pressure on your spinal cord. If these actions are not carried out the way they should your back could be terribly hurt.

So here are some precautions that one should take during his life:

1. Always check the object before picking it up. Please ensure before picking the object that is it packed correctly, it is easy to grip and easy to reach
2. Always remember, while lifting up an object one should use slow & smooth movements, keep the body facing the object, keep the load close to one’s body, try to carry the load in the space between one’s shoulder and one’s waist.
3. While Standing:

The head should be kept directly over the shoulders.

The shoulders should be kept directly over the pelvis

Tuck in the buttocks

Place the feet slightly apart, with one foot positioned slightly in front of the other and knees bent just a little bit.

4. While sitting:

Adopt a user-friendly workstation by adjusting the office chair, computer and desk positioning

Modify sitting posture in office chairs. The better seated posture is to sit back in the chair and utilize the chair’s lumbar support to keep the head and neck erect.

Taking stretch breaks and walking breaks if sitting in office chairs for long periods of time.

These points should always be kept in mind. They will definitely prove to very beneficial for all the people.
